Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton

Chief Executive Officer

Michael is one of the founding members of Chartwell and Group CEO. He assists in determining the strategy for the business, in investor relations, fund raising, in ensuring the recruitment of new colleagues, performance management and in the determination of contractual arrangements covering the various activities of the business. Michael has an LLB degree and was for 14 years CEO of the RAD Investment Banking Group.

Chief Investment Officer

In 2004 Gregory joined Chartwell Capital Group, where he was appointed to the Board in 2007. Over the years, Gregory has built up exceptional expertise in the area of housing finance. He has been instrumental in the design of numerous employee housing schemes and has been intricately involved in the development of innovative home loan products for the affordable market segment.

Duncan Gilmour

Duncan Gilmour

Financial Director

Duncan served his articles with Nolands Chartered Accountants in Cape Town, focusing on small- to medium-sized entities in manufacturing, property and shipping. After 7 years abroad, Duncan came to South Africa and started working at Chartwell in February 2011. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from the University of Natal.

Asset Management and Legal Compliance

Cheryl is a director of Chartwell and has been with the business since 2002. She is involved in ensuring an acceptable level of quality of our housing assets, as well as manages the legal process of the sale of immovable property. Cheryl has a B.Com degree (Unisa), a certificate in Compliance (UJ) and is a Registered Estate Agent.

Iris Sedman

Iris Sedman

Head of Collections

Iris has a collective 17 years experience in the credit and risk industry. Her previous positions include Risk Assurance and Compliance Officer with Standard Bank and Risk Account Executive with an e-commerce and finance company where she headed up a team of 16 credit analysts. Iris subsequently became Chief Credit Officer at SACS Property Solutions, which was integrated into Chartwell in 2010.

Adrian Cerfontyne

Adrian Cerfontyne

Head of Credit

Adrian has a wealth of credit experience in the affordable housing market. He has over 20 years experience in real estate finance recently employed at TUHF which focuses on inner city property finance. Adrian manages the team of credit analysts and handles the new business of Chartwell. Adrian holds a Master of Commerce degree in Financial Management Sciences from the University of Pretoria.

Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams

Office Manager & HR Administrator

Michelle joined Chartwell in 2003. She has the important role of managing all Chartwell’s legal and technical documentation relating to home loans extended to Chartwell’s customers via its multiple home loan companies. She also assists in the administration of various aspects of Chartwell’s human resources.

Gizelle Davids

Gizelle Davids

Special Projects Manager

Gizelle joined Chartwell in 2017 and has dealt with various areas within the company. She currently deals with special projects and sectional title work relating to the various different Chartwell developments. Gizelle has over 15 years of experience in Sectional Title management and has completed her Sectional Title courses through UCT.

Nicholas Annandale

Marketing and Systems Operations

Nicholas has been working for Chartwell since 2018 and is involved in the areas of Marketing, Leads and Social Media Management. Nicholas holds a degree in B.Com Business Management from the University of Pretoria.
